We bring our local community together to raise funds to be given directly to local families in need through community events that are 100% volunteer and donation driven.

Vision

The recipient of each event will get 100% of the proceeds, and a vow to never have employees. We will remain 100% volunteer driven no matter what.

The Plan

Vp Charities is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit based out of Villa Park, IL and strives to serve the community by hosting 3 to 4 yearly events for our community as well as our neighbors. We actually take this not-for-profit a step further than most by vowing to be 100% volunteer run. WE WILL NEVER HAVE A SINGLE PERSON ON PAYROLL. The charity was born out of a distrust for charities, and we intend to “do it right”. We currently run 3 events a year but plan to eventually add a 4th hopefully splitting them into one for each season.

Spring - FREEDOM ISNT FREE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

A co-ed Softball tournament with a twist to support a local military family in need. Each team pays an entrance fee that gets them into the tournament and a team jersey. During the games we will sell sabotages to any player or spectator to hinder the ability of any other player by either; wearing boxing gloves in the field for an inning, batting with a small kid’s bat, batting opposite handed, plus a few others. It’s a very good time, the family you are raising money for comes out to watch or participate and it’s wonderful to see a community come together to take care of one of their own. Summer - HIT AND RUN 100 HOLE GOLF MARATHON

100 Holes in one day golf event in which each golfer is responsible to raise a minimum of $1,000 to participate. We play 100 holes in one day. You read that correctly it is a very early and very long day, but it is incredibly fun and interesting to see how different golfers handle the task. We then have an afterparty at the clubhouse where dinner and drinks are included. This event is used to finance a fund we created that pays for sports team/league fees as well as provided sports equipment for any child of a local family in need. We can currently only have 36 participants in this event so if you or anyone you know may be interested in participating, please contact us below and we will keep you informed as we decide on when and where it will be each year.

Fall - Bar Bike Rally

This event is kind of what started it all in 2021. It is a bicycle bar crawl that starts in Villa Park heads over to Lombard then to Elmhurst then back to Villa Park all on the Prairie Path. This particular event has been running for over 20 years and in 2021 was turned over to us to keep going. We start at Stulgin’s on Ardmore Ave and Park Blvd where we have registration, pass out everyone who signed up’s t-shirts and show off the raffle prizes. This event is run to help any local family in need, we select on each year. They come to the first bar (and rest of them if they are able) and tell their story before we get started its really wonderful to see a community standing together to help someone in need and it’s nice to put a face to your charitable donation. At Stulgin’s you will receive a map of which bars to go to and when as well as where lunch will be served. Throughout the course of the day, you will have opportunities to purchase raffle and or split the pot tickets which drawings are held at the last bar at the end of the ride. Many of the donations for this event come from local corporate sponsorships so if you know a possible sponsor or would like to register yourself and or your friends/family to the event please feel free to contact us below to be updated as dates are decided.
